I have a real soft spot for shop owners/curators that also branch out and create their own line (my heart will always be with product). Steven Alan did just that and his namesake clothing line is a beautiful mix of simplicity and form. The SA shops are also still curated with unique designers that share a similar aesthetic and it is so easy to fall in love with each piece. Here are my top picks…
I spent a day at home with the oh so lovely Elle, of Solly Baby, a few weeks back and we chatted about work, balance, design, inspiration, and motherhood while I put their wrap to use, lulling Archer right to sleep. You can check out the full interview on their blog today and I picked a few of my favorite images to share with you here…
Somehow, even days that you do nothing at all seem to fly by in a flash. We spent the weekend not doing a whole lot and I have to say it was our best one yet, with little A. We stared at, sang to, and giggled with Archer…had a few friends over, started working on the laundry room, and had a picnic in the park.
I also realized I never did share our finished deck. We still have to figure out the furniture situation but there’s a glimpse of it… looking forward to spending a lot more time out there this summer.
Just a little baby love for your Thursday morning… I wanted to share what I did for sweet Archer’s birth announcements. I designed the cards around the photos we had taken with katherine and luke and with so many adorable ones, I couldn’t narrow it down to just one card so, of course, I made three! :)
I then had Artifact Uprising print the cards, using their “design your own” option. The cards were printed front and back so that each one had a full photo on one side, and then a photo with the type, his name, birth date, and info on the other. Going through AU made it easy because I didn’t have to pick out the paper, size, or envelopes (faced with too many choices while trying to navigate the first days of mommyhood and I probably wouldn’t have gotten them together). The cardstock they use has a beautiful feel and the kraft envelopes were perfect, easy peasy.
I may or may not have designed these in my sleep, so when they arrived at our doorstep it was like Christmas morning with the cutest presents inside. That top one is definitely a framer.
Awe… my sweet pumpkin. I’m so happy we were able to get these together and I’d like to pass that on to you guys with a little giveaway. Just leave a comment below for the chance to win a $100 gift card to Artifact Uprising so you can get your special something printed.
