I’m using the term “artful modern” again to describe today’s high/low look but this time it’s in the living room. It is a simple term but it sums up how I strive to make each piece special by looking for unique silhouettes and shapes in furniture so that the pieces of the room become like sculptures themselves. This dreamy living room board is full of those and along with a bit of whimsy, it is seriously high on style.

modern artful living roomm- luxe // sarah sherman samuelI have been gaga for that egg collective sofa from the first time I saw it and I’m pretty sure I’ve pinned it multiple times. The clean lines and the geometric shapes hit all the right notes. This room is basically the collection of some of my all time favorite pieces, like that and the pink chair, which I will probably never afford, but love from afar nonetheless.

It reminded me a bit of the egg collective sofa with the special arm detailing and I happened to snag it during one of their furniture sales, so for $1000 it was much more reasonable. The pink chair isn’t a total steal by any means, but it is so similar to the dream room’s (and a third of the price) I couldn’t not include it. If you are loving that style but not married to the pink there are even less expensive options that are great here and here.
