sarah sherman samuel x lulu & georgia wallpaper collection It’s an exciting day over here in the SSS studio as today is the launch of my wallpaper line on Lulu and Georgia! I often get requests on the various wallpapers I have designed for different spaces and so I am ecstatic to finally be able to answer… “why yes it is available for purchase and you can buy it here!” for each of them.

A-frame bathroom: finished tour

This post brought to you by KohlerClick here to get inspired!

bathroom renovation reveal // sarah sherman samuel I am thrilled to share the finished tour of our A-frame cabin bathroom today! We teamed up with Kohler to give what was once a dark cavernous room, a full makeover, brightening and modernizing it along the way. With construction delays and stopping and starting renovations throughout the entire place it feels surreal to have such a tranquil space to escape to. Some things are worth waiting for and this simple, clean, spa-like bathroom is definitely one of them.

get the look: the palihouse

get the look, palihouse // sarah sherman samuelI don’t think I’ll even get my fill of this dark leafy green (at least I hope not since I’ve used a similar shade in so many of my own spaces over the years. Like my bedroom and our a-frame kitchen) and the gorgeous courtyard restaurant, Mardi, in the Palihouse West Hollywood, has it in spades.

Black and White Rug Round Up

living room renovation // before & after // sarah sherman samuelI find myself constantly sourcing black and white rugs for spaces, they are incredibly versatile and can bring a modern tailored look to a room. After posting our A-frame Living room reveal and getting a bazillion of questions on where I found that top rug (found it on ebay) I thought I would share my favorite monochromatic beauties that are on the internet right now.

black and white rug round up // sarah sherman samuel When possible I like to source vintage or one of a kind rugs for unique spaces and Ebay and Etsy are two of my favorite sites to scour and to hopefully find a deal. I’ve got a few of those mixed in above as well as other go-to big box sites and lesser known sites for black and whites that haven’t been used a million times before. Happy Shopping!

Trullbrook residence kitchen 90% reveal!

tullbrook residence kitchen renovation // sarah sherman samuelGreen tweed marble, herringbone floors, gold fixtures… these are a few of my favorite things and I’m so thrilled to be able to share the ALMOST finished kitchen of my clients at the Trullbrook residence which has all three and more. We are still waiting on a custom built banquette, which is in the works, but I am impatient and couldn’t wait to share at least a peek at the finished portion of the space. More to come soon!

I added small touches of wood with the butcher block island and the floating shelves as well as the gold Schoolhouse Electric hardware to warm up the cool tones in the rest of the space.

Last time we checked in the floor was just being laid and the cabinet boxes placed and now we are so close to the finish line, with the banquette and new bistro table and chairs being the last addition needed.

You might remember from the original post and before photos that we have now removed the peninsula, removed a double wall oven that also made the room feel tight (replacing it with a 48″ range) and extended the entire footprint of the kitchen (which isn’t seen here yet) but you can get an idea of where the banquette will be in the above photo.
