Trullbrook Residence Powder Bathroom // sarah sherman samuelI’m back at the Trullbrook Residence with their final bathroom design and even though it’s the smallest of the 4, it’s definitely not short on style. For the wallpaper I turned to my fellow marble pattern lover Rebecca Atwood and we created a custom color of one of her patterns. wallpaper-swatch-rebecca-atwood-sarah-sherman-samuelI chose three pantone colors to create a more natural, terra cotta type color palette and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Just wait to see it on the wall! I love the work Rebecca does in wallpapers and textiles, her pattern based goods are perfect for mixing and matching and you know I love a good pattern play.

trullbrook-powder-bath-before2 trullbrook-powder-bath-beforeI applaud the previous home owners for their bold choice in the powder room (these small bathrooms are a perfect place to make a statement), however we’d like to make their own and one that reflects our more modern aesthetics.

So first up we will be removing the wallpaper and, well everything else in the room… flooring included. We chose Arto Tile in a “walnut spice” diamond shape for the floors, and I designed and am having fabricated a custom walnut shelf vanity to sit under a concrete vessel sink. Brass details keep the space warm and modern.
