martha stewart weddings // smitten studioI’m so excited to finally share this wedding I designed that’s in the pages of this months Martha Stewart Weddings! You may remember (but probably not because it was about a year and a half ago) me working on some pieces for the wedding here and here. My dear longtime friend, Anne was the bride and I am so happy that I was able to be a part of her big day by standing up as one of the matrons of honor as well as designing the event from top to bottom.

One of my favorite pieces I made for their wedding was this textile that hung over a fireplace during the reception. The bride and groom (Anne and Shane) are pictured above holding it’s edges. Anne & Shane collected photos of both of their families and I created silhouettes of each family member from the photos, essentially making a pictorial family tree.

Her wedding also took place while I was developing A Sunny Afternoon so I was able to provide custom fabric napkins for each place setting that featured 4 coordinating patterns.

More after the jump.

Anne, her mother, and her sister also went to a Dahlia farm the day before the wedding and picked all the flowers for the event, while Anne’s sister also handmade candles as favors for each guest to take home (if you are in Europe you can buy her handmade candles here!).

Oh and you would be silly not to read about their adorable engagement story here as well. Oh how I love these two.
