staycation patio design // Sarah Sherman Samuel x Design Love FestI’m excited to share a kind of a dream project that I’ve been working on for Bri Emery of Design Love Fest. Her patio is TO DIE FOR so when she came to me for help with the design and furniture selects in the space I couldn’t wait to get started. She wanted it to be an ideal space for entertaining and one that felt relaxing, inviting, and had a jungle/loungey/’feel like a hotel’ kind of vibe. I took those descriptive words and pulled together this inspiration board, outlining the ‘staycation patio’ direction visually.

Below is what the space looks like now but we have been busy collecting pieces, getting custom cushions made and plant shopping galore. To see a full tour of the “before” photos check out Bri’s post from today, here. It is going to be so good right?

I designed a wood door to get custom made for a little archway entrance (that’s a little rendering you see on the bottom left), the seat cushions are getting made in this gorgeous pink fabric, and how about those gorgeous woven rattan chairs!? All the sources are listed below. I’m so looking forward to sharing the final space soon and next up is her dining room!

Rattan Mirror // Pink Outdoor Fabric // Pillows from Found Rentals // Hanging Planters from Urban Outfitters and here // Bend Goods Chairs // Patio Table by Y Living // Wood Outdoor Patio Chairs from World Market // Planters // Woven Rattan Chairs from CB2 // Side Table from AllModern // Coffee Table from Crate & Barrel
