modern bohemian living/dining room // smitten studioI’ve been working on a project for a client with a bright modern space in the beach town of Encinitas. The first room to tackle was her living & dining area and I wanted to share the round-up of the pieces I selected for her.  She already had a few beautiful items to start with, that white credenza (which is actually a bar), the skull, and the vintage woven basket (sitting on the table). Narrowing in on her style was a fun one because we have such a similar aesthetic (#dreamclient 😉  We decided to call it minimal, modern-bohemian.

She likes clean lines and a lot of open (and white) space, along with a mix of  mid century modern pieces like the tulip table and bar, next to special items with a boho vibe like the skull, rug, and wall hanging. It is a smallish living area so I kept everything bright and light (no bulky furniture allowed) and grounded it with the deep hued rug. I can’t wait to see this room come to life.
