A-frame Kitchen Before & After

We finished our A-frame cabin awhile back, just in time for the Sunset Mag cover shoot in August (still pinching myself on that) but we had quite the busy end of the year trying to wrap up a bunch of projects before our Clover girls’ arrival and I realized I never got a chance to share the full kitchen reveal!

Well almost full reveal. We still haven’t put hardware on the cabinets because I had the hardest time deciding and now that I designed my own, I can’t wait to get over there and put them on. I am also dying to put a rug down in there as well, but you get the picture. I’ll share the fully styled photos when I have them but I wanted to post these before I make an exciting announcement tomorrow! Plus I HAD to share this before and after. It is definitely one of the more dramatic transformations.  READ MORE

Mandy Moore Guest Bedroom 1 Design

mandy moore guest bedroom // sarah sherman samuelLast Friday we started the furniture install at our Mandy Moore residence project and it was thrilling to see all the pieces we’ve collected over the year finally coming into the space. If you want to catch up on the project you can read through all of the posts so far, here, or go to my instagram on your phone and click through my saved story “highlights”.

Now that we are on the furniture stage and Mandy and Taylor are moving in probably this week! whoop! I get to share some peeks at the furniture plans and first up is one of the guest bedrooms. There are two guest bedrooms total and we made one a little more feminine and one a little more masculine for a fun take on his and hers.

urban outfitters home sale

I woke up this morning to an email saying Urban Outfitters was having a huge home sale so naturally I spent way too much money buying things I don’t really need but will most certainly love and you better believe I used the blog and the fact that “I *might* have a client that this would be perfect for” to justify my full shopping cart. Over the years I have found some real gems of unique pieces that give a lot of bang for your buck from UO… their furniture and accessories and lately I’ve even been loving some of their lighting! So, I’ve rounded up my favorite picks from the sale… some seriously good steals. (links below)

Oh Joy’s Executive Office Reveal

oh joy office design by sarah sherman samuel Just before the holidays (and exactly 1 week before baby Clover arrived) I did the final install and shoot of Joy Cho’s, of Oh Joy, “executive office” and I’m excited to share it with you today! I really enjoy designing workspaces, and I don’t think it is possible to find a more fun office to get to work with than Joy’s colorful and pattern rich brand!

Before the break we revealed the Oh Joy kitchen and I shared a little bit of my design process with the rendered options. This time I am pulling it one step back and sharing the very first step in my process which is the inspiration/mood board I presented to Joy when we had our first meeting about her executive office.

Mandy Moore Master Bathroom Design

mandy moore master bath // sarah sherman samuel

Happy New Year! I’m really excited to share another room design and progress from our Moore project. The house is getting to it’s final stages and this is the last bathroom of the three in the home. It is the master bath, complete with a serious statement marble slab shower, custom vanity area and a bathtub fit for a queen, or rather Mandy Moore… close enough, am I right? ;).

Before we talk about all the beautiful finishes that are going into the space lets take a look back where we started. READ MORE
