I “accidentally” forgot to pack a bathing suit this trip so, of course, I had no choice but to get a new one in Chicago on our way to the cabin. Luckily I found this L. Space number to save the day… as it, along with my chambray shirt, has become my daily uniform.
Shopping guide: Bikini top by L. Space // Chambray Shirt from Anthropologie // Denim Shorts by Madewell // Gold flip flops from Armani Exchange (old) find similar here // Sunglasses by Ray Ban // Beach Chair is from Ikea // Necklaces were gifted
Remember from the planning post that I was looking for a couple chaise lounges? I ended up going with the Appalaro Chaise from Ikea. After a fun assembly session with Rupe (these were actually the easiest thing I have ever put together from Ikea), we were all set to do our best lounging.
More to come on the patio as we are busy, painting, hammering, organizing, and finishing up projects this week.
To see all the progress on the cabin so far, head here.
We spent half of the weekend in Chicago visiting Rupe’s brother’s family. We had a blast catching up, sharing stories, and doting on their three little boys. The other half was spent at the cabin, taking long walks on the beach to zen out before assembling Ikea furniture. Those flat packed boxes get me every time.
We are heading to the cabin this week and I’m so ready, my bags are already packed. Here’s a peek at a few things that will be coming along with me and a few that are still on my cabin wardrobe wish list.
The weather in Michigan is generally unpredictable and especially this time of year, I think anything could happen. I just saw it was 90 degrees there today but will get back into the 40s by friday, so layers are key. While I’m hoping for some beach time, I’m sure the sweaters will have to come out and those boots are always handy for tromping around the woods.
