Have you guys seen the Glitter Guide feature on Amanda Dawbarn of 100 Layer Cake that went up this week? I had the pleasure of contributing with some of the styling which was easy peasy because Amanda has so many amazing pieces in her home. I had also been wanting to work with the photographer Jessie Webster for sometime, so it was a great surprise to find out she was going to be shooting it.
Amanda and I met last year and became fast friends. When answering “how do you sparkle?” in the interview she replies “by encouraging and inspiring others to find what they are meant to do”, and Lord knows that in just the last year, while swapping stories, doing some heavy crafting, and getting lost in parking garages together, she has done exactly that for me. So, go check out the entire Glitter Guide feature and get to know 1 of the 3 ladies behind 100 Layer Cake a little better.
Our first two nights in New Zealand were spent at this lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Auckland. Upon arrival to Hotel Debrett we were greeted with such friendly and helpful staff that we felt right at home. They gave us great recommendations on what to do around the city (i.e. walk up Franklin to Ponsonby street for shops and take the ferry to Waiheke island) and Michelle, the owner, even helped us plan a few stops on our campervan route.
I’m heading to the cabin today (finally!!!) so I spent the weekend getting things ready to go, taking the dogs on a few long sunny walks (before heading to the snow), and eating at a few of my favorite places.
I could not be more excited to share a few of my favorite photos from the Fancy Paws event I was a part of a couple of weeks ago.
I have to say, any day spent styling up and playing with a bunch of puppy dogs is going to be a good day. However, add in Sarah Yates, the rest of the Birds of a Feather ladies, the fact that we were raising money for NKLA (an organization I am happy to support), I got to see some of you guys, and it was almost too good to be true.
How cute are these faces? It is just too much.
Oh and of course I had to get my little darlings Pikku & Cracker in on the action…
It is hilarious to see the personalities of each one come out in the photos… my crazy Cracker and my regal Pikku.
