You may remember from my instagram when I first spotted the collection I designed for Greenroom of metallic patterned planners in Target. I received a few emails from people that were not able to find them in their local Target so I thought I would give a couple away here!
To give you the quick run down, they are hard cover monthly/weekly planners that run from January 2013 through December 2013. Perfect timing for the new year! The interior pages for all of the planners are the same, which include extra blank note pages, contact pages, and other fun resource pages.
Designs numbered 1 – 3 all approximately measure 6″ x 8″ and design number 4 is 8.5″ x 11″. To win one of these just leave a comment below saying which design you would choose and then like Smitten Studio on Facebook here. Entries must be posted by this Friday, January 4th. 3 winners will be chosen at random. Good Luck!
UPDATE: Congrats to Katherine, Frances, & Sam for being the winners this time. Thanks to everyone for participating. I loved hearing from you.
Sorry, limited to US readers only. Winner will be contacted by email once comments close and then announced on the bottom of this post soon after.
We spent the last weekend of the year wandering through Chicago, taking long walks until our toes went numb, visiting a few old favorite restaurants and trying out a some new ones. Every time I go to Chicago I fall in love all over again with the old brownstone houses and the architecture in the city. It was nice to stay in a different area then I have before and take the few calm days together between Christmas and New Years to relax and do some of the things that I love most… eat, shop, and explore. :)
I wanted to pause quickly today to say Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! This year was the first time we have ever sent out holiday cards, so I wanted to share them with you here and say a huge heartfelt thanks to each one of you for this year. Thank you for following along and for all of the encouraging comments and emails. You guys have made an eventful year so much sweeter.

As for the cards… we had our first holiday photo shoot with Max Wanger & Our Labor of Love which consisted of a half an hour of Rupert and I chasing the dogs, trying to get them to sit still for more then one second. Somehow amidst Pikku attempting to eat the mistletoe and Cracker trying kiss Max, Margaux, Jesse, and Whitney… the talented bunch managed to produce a few great shots!
Happy Christmas Eve you guys! Remember the holiday party I mentioned here and how I lost my voice from all the laughing and screaming? Well, having Smilebooth in our home was a big part of the fun that night. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the night and make sure you look after the jump to see me doing my best santa impersonation.
You may recognize this pretty lady… Amanda and I were party ready in our twin sequin dresses that night. You can find mine, by Dress the Population, here or here.
Whenever Rupe and I get to Michigan over the holidays we go into what we call hibernation mode. The darker skies, the biting cold, and the shorter days, all tend to make us move a little slower, stay tucked inside a little longer, and get A LOT more sleep. It is my favorite time to unwind and get some serious rest from our much busier schedules in LA. The first snowfall came after a few days of being lazy and that’s what brought us outside to play like two little kids and then inevitably return inside to warm up with some hot coffee and, thanks to my mom, fresh baked goods. Have I mentioned that I love the holidays?
The only work I plan on getting done over Christmas is in my dad’s wood shop where the projects are way more enjoyable than some of the other mundane tasks that can sometimes fill my workdays. I can easily lose hours making pieces and tweaking others in preparation for my product line launch. I hope you guys are getting as excited about it as me!
